While in the Marine Corps Kevin Courtney was assigned as my JAG lawyer, for over a year fighting my case. Upon being assigned as my lawyer he went straight to work asking what happened and gathering information and giving me direction for next steps in preparation for an ADSEP board. Before my board he exhausted all administrative means to prevent the ADSEP board from even hapoening. Mr. Courtney provided me reassurance and confidence to continue to fight. Upon conducting my ADSEP board Mr. Courtney was well prepared, organized and sheer perfection fighting for me. We won the board and I feel a lot had to do with how he presented the evidence and cross examined exposing the holes in this allegation. BUT, it doesn’t stop there I was still being recommended for separation. Mr. Courtney again collected information, prepared, and gave me direction in preparation to rebuttal to the SECNAV. A few months passed and I recieved notice from the SECNAV that I was innocent and that the case was closed. I battled this for over 2 years and was ostracized and was the black sheep and for majority of that the ONE person who I knew had my back was Kevin Courtney. I would not still be in the Marine Corps and continuing my 14 years of service without Kevin Courtney! He like I stated in the title with out question is the lawyer you want. He will work tirelessly and diligently, He will advise and guide. His honestly and dependability are unmatched.
